The Care Quality Commission
We were inspected by the Care Quality Commission (CQC) on the 16th of September 2022 and are proud to have received a
‘Good’ overall rating, with no areas highlighted as in need of improvement. After a rigorous inspection process our services were also judged to be safe, effective, caring, responsive and well-led.
Comments made by the CQC inspector in the report (which can be seen in full via the CQC box below) include that “The service is well run, and people who used the service were very happy with the care and support they received.” The report also stated that “People who used the service were supported to have maximum choice and control of their lives and staff supported them in the least restrictive way possible and in their best interests”.
The report goes on to say that “People consistently commented staff were caring and approachable. People were empowered to select their own care team and they had access to experienced case managers”, and that their “Diverse professional backgrounds meant the organisation was well-versed in navigating the various
pathways of care to facilitate timely support from services available publicly and privately."
We are especially delighted with comments which the inspector gathered from a selection of our clients, including, “Really happy with it mate, carers always good. [Case Manager] is always there for me if need them" and "Yeah, I'm happy with my carers. If I want out doing, then they'll just do it you know.”
And from a client's relative, “"Without [case manager] and the rest I do not know what would have happened to them... Now they have some freedom thanks to Northern Lifetime Limited."
As for the views of professionals who we work with, the CQC report lists has very positive comments like, "Some of the best Case Managers I have had the pleasure of working with." While another professional commented, "I have found working with [registered manager] to be a very positive experience; she always communicates effectively and is keen to work with all the people involved in the client's care to try to achieve the best outcomes for them.”
